Bytes of the Street – Episode 1 – A Bus in the Big Easy
In the second installation of the series I fly to the Big Easy, New Orleans, Louisiana to show you what the Mississippi River has to do with a computer board. Please enjoy and leave your comments below. I’d love to get your honest feedback on the direction this is going as I look to make more of these in the coming months.
It’s important to note that this series is intended for students in the 9-12 grades who are in foundational courses for computer science. Additionally, this series can be useful for educators who need to understand fundamental computer concepts in an Instructional Design or Educational Technology program.
Hi Blaine,
Great video analogy that I am going to show my students. Not only is the video quality excellent, New Orleans is a very interesting setting. In addition to the technology lesson, you provide a great Social Studies commentary on the significance of the river! What did you use for a camera?
Thanks for the posts and comments.

Thanks Paul! Actually all I used was my iPhone. I attached it to this: http://joby.com/smartphones/griptight-gorillapod-stand
The Gorillapod acts as a mini tripod, or you can wrap it around a pole. It makes it very easy to shoot when you are also your cameraman. 🙂
